Dr Klemperer listened to me patiently, was understanding and helpful. She provided feedback that made sense upon listening to me and I felt comfortable discussing my problems with her. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr Klemperer is welcoming, encouraging, patient and thoughtful. She allows patients to speak fully and provides responses that provoke thought and self-reflection, helpful advice, and even just a validating "I understand." I've found that I can talk to her about any subject, not only because I trust her confidentiality, but because I feel as if she truly approaches sessions and patients without any judgement, which means I can speak about things I might not with others, or without fear that she will either not relate or will make assumptions or judgements. I highly recommend seeing her.

The first thing about Dr Klemperer was that she made feel comfortable as I was anxious. This was particularly important as it allowed for me to open up to her about all of my problems. Whilst talking to her I could see that she was very attentive as she would often stop me at key points to ask about my feelings in more depth in regards to the particular subject I was talking about at that point of time. She was also strongly empathetic in her approach. This I felt in particular showed when she was helping me understand why I had been feeling the way I had before I saw her. I left with a feeling that I had been fully listened to and also of a full understanding of why I had been feeling the way I had(through her diagnosis). I would strongly recommend her to anyone based in the London or Home Counties area.

Seeing Dr Klemperer turned my life around. In terms of her empathy, compassion, and genuine commitment to helping each individual patient she is head and shoulders above anyone else I've seen in a long history of treatment for depression. To anyone considering specialist psychiatric treatment, whatever your reasons and whatever experiences you may have had in the past (good or bad), I would recommend Dr Klemperer without reservation. She is an absolute credit to her profession.

Profile

I studied medicine at Cambridge University and Guy’s Hospital, London.

I trained in psychiatry at Guy’s Hospital, where I conducted award-winning research, publishing in the British Medical Journal and the British Journal of Psychiatry.

In addition, I hold the Institute of Psychiatry's qualification in cognitive behavioural therapy, a field in which I am recognised by the Royal College of Psychiatrists as having special expertise. This combined knowledge of psychiatry and psychotherapy allows me to make comprehensive assessments of my patients’ life difficulties.

I have worked as a consultant psychiatrist in London and Brussels, with over 20 years experience as a consultant in general adult psychiatry.

I practice in the NHS in Westminster and in Kensington and Chelsea, am an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College and have an independent practice.
